Single Mother Project Ghana

Welcome to the Single Mother Project Ghana

The Single Mother Project was launched in January 2023 to support and empower single mothers in Ghana. Our focus is to provide these women with the tools and resources to promote their independence and develop sustainable sources of income.

Since our inception, we have transformed the lives of 10 remarkable women by providing them with access to long-term training and skills in areas such as tailoring and weaving. These programmes extend over several years to provide the mothers with a solid foundation for their professional future.

In 2024, we reached a significant milestone by successfully running our first batik course. Nine dedicated women took part in this programme and are now able to produce batik on their own. This skill enables them not only to make their own products, but also to generate their own income.

Our goal goes beyond individual support. We strive to build a supportive community where these single mothers can not only learn skills, but also share their knowledge and support each other. Our "train the trainer" approach enables these women to be a positive force not only for themselves, but also for others in their community.
